Hourly & Overnight Rates - Details
Whether it's just for a quick promenade or a full day scooter adventure, Montreal Scooter has you covered. 2 people on a single scooter offers a romantic (or bro-mantic) option to renting 2 scooters for riders with a combined weight less than approximately 150 kg (330 lbs) for the Honda or 180 kg (400 lbs) for the Vespas. You will need to rent helmets at a cost of $5 each if you do not have your own.
Group Rentals
There is a 2H minimum rental for groups over 5. A deposit of $40/person by credit card is required in case of a no-show.
Damage Deposit
A $1,000 damage deposit is required for all Honda Metropolitan rentals. For Vespa LX 50, Primavera 50, Primavera 150, and GTS 300 rentals, the damage deposit is $2,000.
Overnight Rates
When you rent a scooter overnight, the minimum rental is 4H. The period between 18h30 and 10h30 the next morning is considered a 4H block of time. You may add additional hours either before 18h30, after 10h30, or a combination of both.

Gas
The gas tank shall be full at the time of pickup, and is almost always sufficient for a full day of scootering.
If you are close to using the provided gas, and need more, you will need to refill the scooter with enough 91 octane gas to be able to return to the store.
Helmets
You may bring your own DOT or ECE certified helmet, but if you don't have your own DOT or ECE certified helmet, you must rent one for $5.
Extending Time
If you are unsure of how many hours you would like to rent your scooter for, you may start with a rental time you are comfortable with and add time along the way. To upgrade, you must call or text a minimum of 30 minutes before the agreed upon return time.
Time extensions are subject to availability and are not guaranteed. The only way to guarantee a scooter for any given period of time is to reserve at the beginning of your rental.
Time Extension Rates
1 hour original rental - $20 for the 2nd hour, $10 for the 3rd hour, $10 for the 4th hour, then $5 for every additional hour
2+ hour original rental - $10 for the 3rd hour, $10 for the 4th hour, then $5 for every additional hour
The overnight period from 18h30 until 10h30 is considered a 4H block
Late Return
To extend a rental without incurring a late fee, Renter must call or text MS for permission at least 30 minutes before the end of the rental. If the Scooter is returned more than 9 minutes after the scheduled Return Time without advising MS, the Renter will be charged for the time extension plus a $5 late fee.
